概要 A great number of empirical works advocate the leading indicator property of the term spread (LIPTS). However, the LIPTS lacks rigorous theoretical foundations and is acknowledged as a puzzle. Recently a little literature attempts to solve the puzzle, but cannot reach complete explanation, especially in the endowment economy. Focusing on the role of durability in consumption, this paper complements the literature and explains one mechanism for the LIPTS to arise.
