概要 Using an overlapping-generations model, this paper examines how the distribution of consumption, financial wealth, and welfare is affected by public debt issues and social security systems. It is shown that these policies narrow an intergenerational gap in consumption and welfare on sufficiently small scales, but contrary widen it on relatively large scales. I also show that depending on the policies, the relative position of individual financial wealth follows either a hump-shaped path or a monotonically increasing path.
